Michael's Tuscany Room in San Pedro is a favorite in the South Bay. Michael Cutri has achieved much success as a restauranteur. Having grown up in Gioia Tauro, Calabria Italy, he learned very early on about the culinary delights of his native land. He turned down an art scholarship to the University in Calabria and instead attended one of Italy's foremost culinary institutes in Tuscany. Michael then traveled throughout Italy where he polished his skills and learned the art of preparing classic Italian cuisine.
Ultimately setting in San Pedro, in 1990,the first of his dreams was realized with the opening of Raffaello's Ristorante. A huge success and favorite to the locals and surrounding areas. Raffaello's Ristorante remains in the family and is now operated by brothers, Gino and Tony.
Out of his experience, Michael has realized his vision of a prime banquet facility in the heart of San Pedro. Michael's Tuscany Room has allowed him to present his culinary skills at the highest level possible.
As you enter the sprawling Tuscany Room, you don't get the feeling you are entering a banquet room at all, instead you feel as if you stepped into a spectacular old world venue full of warmth and charm. From its towering open ceilings, to the beautiful sweeping staircase, it is instantly apparent that nothing was held back in the creation of this masterpiece.
